Every Sunday, in the northwest corner of the Farmer's Market, different guests will present fun, interactive sessions. You'll learn health benefits, fun facts and preparation tips about the many kinds of fresh vegetables and farmsted products available at the Market, from amaranth to zucchini. Each presentation includes viewing hands-on demos, recipe cards and sampling of the dish!
Tammy Wong is the chef and owner of Rainbow Chinese Restaurant & Bar at 2739 Nicollet Avenue, a Minneapolis favorite since 1987. A regular visitor to the Farmers Market, Tammy often waits to browse the morning's selection of fresh, locally grown produce before she improvises her summer evening specials on the spot. She enjoys introducing others to the less familiar vegetables, fruits and herbs that many shoppers overlook. Those who have seen Tammy's creative flair with the "garden wok" know her demonstrations are not to be missed.
