Fresh & Local on AM950, September 4

LIVE at the STATE FAIR

Get together with Fresh & Local at the Minnesta State Fair!  Meet Host Susan Berkson and Minnesota Herb Lady Bonnie Dehn as they broadcast live from the Minnesota State Fair.  They’ll chat with Ed Eichten of Eichten’s Hidden Acres.  They’ll introduce you to Kimberly Firnstahl  of Sole Restaurant which many diners consider the best Koren Restaurant in town.   And at the Great Minnesota Get-Together, you never know who’ll stop by.  So join AM950’s broadcast of what the Star Tribune calls “the fresh and local chatfest” live at the Minnesota State Fair  across from the Eco Experience on Randall Avenue between Cosgrove and Cooper.

Market Talk: Saturday, September at 10:30 a.m.

Healthy and Gourmet's Natasha Singh will show you how to have your cake and eat it, too.  Using ingredients from the Market, Singh, whose specialty is the creation of low-fat, nutritious gourmet food, will prepare Salmon Cakes with Sweet Potatoes, featuring fresh salmon caught by market vendor, Matt Oxford of Wild Run Salmon. Singh's second recipe is an easy-to-assemble Raspberry Trifle, taking advantage of the beautiful berries still available at Market.
